Dear Alpha Chi Omega Sisters,
I recently returned from the Alpha Chi Omega 56th Annual Convention where I had the privilege of representing Mu Mu Chapter. I was so proud to be representing Mu Mu Alumnae Chapter. The chapter received the National Council Continuing Excellence Trophy for the 14th consecutive convention. Receiving this high honor is a testament to all of the current and past members and leaders of the chapter. The chapter was also recognized for reaching the President’s Donor Roll to the Foundation, having given over $50,000. These are outstanding accomplishments, and we’ll be celebrating these achievements at the annual Founder’s Day dinner. I hope you will join us to celebrate!
Also at convention, we celebrated the 125th anniversary of Alpha Chi Omega. We listened to recordings of the founders talking about their memories of the early life of the fraternity. It was inspiring to listen to the actual voices of the founders talking about their experiences and recollections of each other. The recordings are going to be debuted on the Alpha Chi Omega website this year, and I hope you will have an opportunity to listen to them.
We have so much to be proud of as a chapter, but I also know there is more that we can do as an organization to make a difference to alumnae sisters in the Kansas City area, Alpha Chi Omegas in area collegiate chapters, and victims of domestic violence within our community. We have an opportunity to develop the chapter even more through the ideas and involvement of all of our members. If you have new ideas or would like to get involved in a committee or leadership role, please contact me as we have events and opportunities to volunteer throughout the year.
I look forward to reconnecting with many of you and meeting those new to Kansas City or new to Mu Mu in the coming year. We all have such busy lives, but I hope you’ll find an event that will fit into your schedule where you can take time out for yourself and connect with other Alpha Chi Omegas.
Loyally in the bond,
Beth Koch
